FAQ

How do I book an appointment with you?

1. Please email me for an initial consult. In the email please describe what you’re looking to have done, where on you, and whether you want the tattoo to be black & grey or color. The more detailed descriptions the better.  Also feel free to attach any reference images.

2. From there I will respond with a price quote and let you know how long of a time frame you will need to book.  Then you can return to my website and click “Book Now!” where you can view my calendar and select a time frame on a day that works best for you.

3. Once you book and your appointment is approved you will receive a deposit invoice sent to your email. Sometimes this does end up in your spam folder so if you don’t see it, please check there. Deposits must be secured within 48 hours of receiving in order to reserve your appointment. Appointments without deposits are subject to forfeit.

4. After your deposit is paid you are all set.  Sit back, relax and think about your new tattoo.  We will take care of everything else.

Please note: Time frames are not strictly tattoo time and are rough estimates of how long I will need with each client. Each time frame includes about 30-45 minutes of set up and prep. As always if you have any other questions always feel free to reach out and let me know.

Q: How old do you have to be to get a tattoo?
A: The legal age in Erie County is 18. There is no parental permission signing allowed for individuals under the age of 18.

Q: What is the best time of year to get a tattoo?
A: Although you can get a tattoo any time of the year, your skin gets a lot more abuse during the summer with swimming, tanning, and just being exposed to the elements more. Winter time is really the best season to get a tattoo.

Q: Do you do walk-ins?
A: Unfortunately I do not do walk-ins. I like to plan and give each client the appropriate amount of time to create a well designed custom tattoo, therefore appointments work best.

Q: What is the best way to have a consult with you?
A: Most tattoo ideas do not require an in-person consultation. Cover-ups and large pieces will almost always require an in-person consult. The best way to contact me for a consult or any other reason is through email. Another option is to call the shop at 716.777.3147

Q: Is a deposit required for an appointment?
A: Yes, Due to high appointment demand nonrefundable deposits are required for every appointment. Deposit amounts are discussed during consults and vary per tattoo. These deposits go towards the final cost of your tattoo. You are allowed a onetime reschedule prior to 10 days before your appointment, this will allow your deposit to transfer to your new appointment. Any cancellations less than 10 days before your appointment or multiple reschedules will result in the loss of your deposit and require a new one in order to book another appointment.

Q: Why haven’t I received my deposit invoice?
A: Invoices for deposits are sent out via email once your appointment has been approved. Sometimes invoices end up in your spam folder so if you haven’t received it check there first.

Q: What forms of payment do you take?
A: I accept cash or any major credit cards via Square. There is a 3% processing fee that I have to pass on when a card is used.

Q: Why was my appointment canceled or unapproved?
A: Some reasons for canceled or unapproved appointments would be not securing your deposit within the specified time frame, scheduling appointments without consulting first or booking an incorrect time frame.

Q: Do I need to stop in before my appointment and can I see any drawings beforehand?
A: There is no need to stop in before your appointment; everything will be all set and waiting for you. All drawings and designs are seen day of the appointment – no exceptions as I've had artwork taken and then tattooed by other people, which is the absolute worst. If any changes or adjustments need to be made, we will do it right then and there. Hopefully you’ve found me because you like my style and my work, so please, trust me when it comes to your design!

Q:  How far in advance do I need to plan for an appointment with you?
A: I typically book out 9-12 months in advance. I will always try to keep clients updated on social media with dates I’m currently booking out to in order to help you plan. Tattoos are for life and the right design by the right artist is worth the wait.

Q: Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?
A: You are allowed a onetime reschedule prior to 10 days before your appointment, this will allow your deposit to transfer to your new appointment. There is a lot of time and effort that goes into the designs, preparations, consultations and booking of appointments. If it is less than 10 days in advance then the deposit remains with me and pays for the time I spent working on the design as by then I will be fully prepared for your appointment.  Any cancellations or multiple reschedules will result in the loss of your deposit and require a new one in order to book another appointment. I absolutely hate having to enforce this!

Q: Do you have a cancellation list?
A: Yes, I do have a cancellation list. This list only applies to clients who have future appointments booked with a secured deposit. They will be notified if any time frames open up that suit their availability.

Q: Should I come early to my appointment?
A: Please come at the specified time of your appointment. Showing up early will not allow any extra appointment time as there are likely other clients scheduled before and after your allotted time frame.

Q: What should I bring to my appointment?
A: Make sure to bring a state issued photo I.D. Also recommended is a drink, a snack and headphones to pass time. Bringing a friend for moral support is always welcomed. Please wear loose, comfy clothes (that you don’t mind getting ink on) that give me unrestricted access to the area we're working on. There will be complimentary headphones and water available.

Q: What should I know beforehand about my upcoming appointment?
A: Please be sure to eat a good meal right before your appointment. This is very important for keeping your blood sugar in a consistent place. Also make sure to be well hydrated and drink plenty of fluids a few days prior. I recommend drinking some form of sugary beverage right when you come in for your appointment as well.

The main thing is to just stay calm. I will make sure you are completely comfortable and keep you informed about what is happening at all times. Before you know it you’ll be walking out the door with a new piece of wearable art that you will be proud to show off to the world.
